Prosecuting, Mr Crispen Chikafu alleged that on November 19, Tinashe Chitendere made a trade visit to Makombe Wholesale in Chitungwiza.
The court heard that the purpose of the visit was to inquire the status of the wholesale’s account.
It is alleged that Chitendere discovered that Zambuko had collected $9 887 from Makombe wholesale on October 31 but had not deposited the cash into the company’s bank account.
It is the State’s case that on November 19 Chitendere also discovered that Zambuko had misrepresented to the company that he had delivered goods worth $2 282 to Makombe Wholesale.
Zambuko allegedly sold the goods to someone else and converted the money to his own use.
The matter was reported to the police leading to Zambuko’s arrest.
